80 Class Progress

Hi All

With the workshop full of  projects and jobs namely 5x Jumbos, now 5x 44 class and my own 2x  80's i squeezed in some weathering on my super detailed 8003. All that needs to be fitted for completion of this project is the scratch built interior, that will feature Mains West brass seats and control stands, and the MU cables. Let me know what you think?!

A nice track side shot, an interesting consist with a single fertiliser hopper sandwiched between two 80's
The above shot shows 8003 featuring a "candy" coloured AC unit exchanged from a sister unit.
And this side features a "FreightCorp Blue" AC unit,  not being quite as 'weathered' as the rest of the loco.

And lashed up with her stablemate 8047, soon to receive the same treatment (once all customer orders are completed)

Cheers

Kyle

    1. Hi Mathew,

Thank you very much for your comment! The side frames can be fiddly but well worth the effort i think.

    1. Hi Shelton

Thank you for your comment. The task isn't all that difficult, though can be time consuming but as mentioned before well worth the effort. I am currently working on some other guys 80's and 442 doing the same thing, if your interested in having someone do this for you email me.

      Cheers

  4. Hi Kyle, It looks pretty good. The only thing that I could pic is that brackets that you asked me about are only on one side of the loco. I just got some decals to do a Cube coloured 80 so I could wait to get it done. I am not sure what detail I am going to go on it as I am going to ebay it. Anyway with a bit on the 80's, they stack up nice against any RTR loco out there. Cheers Justin

    1. Hi Justin

Thank you for your comment. I have only put thise brackets on the one side, at the time to took these pics I hadn't yet re attached the bogies and to photograph both sides of the loco i just turned the body and chassis around and left the bogies on the track, sorry if it caused confusion ha ha. Can't wait to see your Cube 80. Where did you get the decals from?

      Cheers

      Kyle
