After the old bake piping was removed and the pilot filed flat, i then made new uper section with some Styrene, and as this 442 did not have the buffers i made cover plates for where they would have mounted. And to make this look authentic as possible i drilled out a hole in each corner of the plate to recreate the mounting bolt holes.
